Western Son - Three Wooden Crosses

Tragedy cannot be explained. Often times we don't have the answer and could never accept it if there were one.

The above song talks about three people who died and the one who lived. A preacher, a school teacher, and a farmer all killed in a vehicle crash. The only survivor was a prostitute who questions why she lived and the other people, all good people, died.

"It is not what you take when you leave this world behind you its what you leave behind you when you go."

I see many who lose a brother-in-arms and as a result they live their entire life for that person. There is the woman who had an abortion who then devotes her entire life trying to make up for it. A cowboy who lost his riding partner to tragedy and now wishes he/she were the one who died instead.

Survivor's Guilt
It is time to stop asking questions and instead start answering the call on your life to live and make a difference in the lives of others, starting with your family. You are alive for a reason. You have a purpose and a destiny but until you allow God to heal your spirit and mind, you will not be able to fully live the life you were meant to live.

You were meant to live your life, not the life of the one who died. You are not to live the way they would, you are to live the way God has planned for you.  Yes, for you.

We live a life that the one who passed would be proud of.

Remember the deceased and help others remember - we must not forget.

How can you be healed? Pray. Pray. Pray.

Don't know what to pray? Just talk to Him. God is a great listener, just start talking. Trust me.
