“We are excited to bring yet another event featuring top caliber rodeo athletes to experience Utah and Life Elevated,” said Tommy Joe Lucia, General Manager of the Days of ’47 Cowboy Games and Rodeo. “We featured the roughstock events in February at the Lewis Feild Bulls and Broncs event and we are now pleased to feature the timed event contestants through this inaugural Utah Timed Event Classic. The event will be open to the public at no charge. We hope the contestants that come to the Heber Valley are able to take some time to enjoy golf, fishing, and the breathtaking scenery of the Heber Valley.”

The Utah Timed Event Classic will feature barrel racing, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping and breakaway roping. Over $120,000 will be paid out at this inaugural event.

“This quarter-finals will isolate competition for the 51-100 athletes on our leaderboard, allowing challengers an opportunity to compete with one another,” said WCRA President Bobby Mote. “It will also help serve timed-event athletes in the western states with a unique, six-figure event purse.”
